If your house burns down, watch out for your insurance company, who hires and negociate the with contractor to remove your debris and build your house. This happen to me 12/14/03 my insurance company negociated and paid, with out my pre knowledge, a deal with the contractor to overbill me over $20,000 just to remove the debris that was left over for the completely burned down house. The contractor also damaged my new air conditon unit and foundation and said it was paid by the insurance company to haul everything away! This company was also overcharge on things like rental of dumpsters,bob cat then double the price that it was charge, stating that is how insurance company works. All the over charges left me coming out of my pocket and having to settle for less than what I orginally had and they negoicated this before I was notified and contractor had check and hand. When contractor came out with check in had he stated before another witness this was with in my debris removal policy part of my policy and would not go into any other my rebuiling other funds. As he had been trying to from day one. This was State Farm Insurnce (premier contractors) and Brackmann Construction Company
